Dear Members,
The plastic industry has shown a healthy growth. Quite a few companies, many of whom are OPPI members, have aggregated a growth of over 60 % on year to year basis. This positive scenario makes us hopeful for a financially sound 2010-11.
The 26th AGM is scheduled for 30th July, followed by the Annual Get-together at Hotel TRIDENT Bandra-Kurla, Mumbai. Mr. Kishore Biyani has kindly consented to be the Chief Guest for this occasion and deliver a talk on ¡V¡§Thought Leadership¡¨. The Future group is an acclaimed success story and Mr Biyani¡¦s experiences on the journey and leadership challenges will be enlightening.
The Fifth and the concluding Seminar on Family Managed Business will be held on Friday July 9, 2010. The Seminar will cover the following issues :
„X How to organize the ownership of the business?
„X Who should hold how much share?
„X What should happen on inheritance?
This series of lectures have been useful and relevant. They have highlighted the key issues being faced by many of us today. I would like to thank Prof. Parimal Merchant, Chairperson, Centre for Family Managed Business, S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research for making it effective.
A visit has been organized to the polypropylene plant of the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) at the Panipat petrochemical complex on 24th September 2010. A detailed programme has been sent by the OPPI Secretariat.
